Frédéric Lefèvre , born in 1889 in Izé and died in Paris in 1949 , is a novelist , essayist and literary critic French .
Son of a gelding- bonesetter , Frédéric Lefèvre participated, with Maurice Martin du Gard and Jacques Guenne , in the founding of the Nouvelles Littéraires in October 1922 . He will be editor-in-chief of this weekly dedicated to literature , from 1922 to 1949 . It was in these pages that he published his column " Une Heure avec...", a new form of literary criticism (thus taking up Jules Huret 's idea ). On November 25 , 1922, he inaugurated his famous section “ An hour with...” by interviewing the novelist Pierre Mille . Refugee during the war, in Auvergne, in Vernet la Varenne.
HOFER, André - (1890 - 1973) Illustrator Born in Autun. Born of Swiss parents, he began as a painter at Les Indépendants in 1912. A very prolific painter and draftsman, he worked for Mame, Gedalge, etc.
