Description
- Beautiful uncommon autographed edition, by the "enthusiastic poet", Dramaturge, Diplomat, Academician Paul Claudel.
- It was following two visits to the jeweler Cartier in 1937 (a family to which his son Pierre was linked by his marriage) that Paul Claudel published "an admirable and rarely quoted text" according to Michel Lioure.
"Taking up the data of the symbolic interpretation of precious stones, constituting according to the apocalypse the 12 foundations of the celestial Jerusalem, from his model Cornelius to Lapide,
"he distinguishes himself from it and lets himself go according to his exegetical method and his poetic inspiration to a personal meditation inspired by his own imagination".
