In "Un château sur la lune" (A Castle on the Moon), Jean-Claude Bouillon-Baker, the fifth of Joséphine Baker’s twelve children, pays a moving tribute to his adoptive mother and reflects on her shattered dream of universal brotherhood.
His book is a very personal and almost intimate account of his mother’s life and personality. An international icon, certainly, but one whose stage exuberance masked a highly sensitive nature.
