Description (en)
Second monograph of the pictorial works of artist Véronique Ziminski
Includes a beautiful signed dedication on the flyleaf with an original drawing depicting Venice.
- French, of Polish origin, Véronique Ziminski finds in a single gesture her pictorial path between the dominant expressionism of Central Europe and the luminous intimacy of a certain French art
Lively, vigorous, free of sentimentality, warm in ochre/golden tones, enamored of freedom and
yet perfectly mastered, Ziminski's painting focuses more on rendering the atmosphere of the subject
than its identity. From café terraces to billiard rooms, from markets to orchestras, from Venice to Paris,
with a very sure sense of movement and balance, she punctuates life with compositions
where Man is always present.
